The IBI CLO Strategies Fund is a partnership registered in the Cayman Islands, it began its operations in May 2020 and is managed by IBI Investment House. The fund is classified as an alternative credit fund, investing in CLO’s in the US (Collateralized Loan Obligations) – structured credit products (tradable investment instruments in the OTC market), backed by senior corporate debt in the US. Investments are made through a third party – CIFC Asset Management, an investment management company, specializing in CLO investments and there is a possibility of working with other entities in the future.
The fund invests in CLO’s in the US market only, both in the debt and equity tranches. IBI trades in CLO’s in the secondary and primary market. The fund also invests in Warehouse (the period of construction/establishment of the CLO) IBI manages the fund’s strategy, tactics and the buy and sell decisions are managed by CIFC (fund managers selection, due diligence process, etc.).
