Fund Overview:
Comrit is a limited partnership established in the Cayman Islands by Ziv Sapir and IBI investment house. The operation began on July 2015. The fund invests in yielding real estate groups in the USA, which are incorporated in the tax structure of a non-tradable public “REIT”. The fund is requesting a loan for a period of 36 months, at a fixed annual interest rate.
Strategy:
The fund invests mainly in mature REIT funds, about 3 years old, which are after acquiring the assets, so that the fund has data on the conduct of the REIT and its assets. The fund is largely used as a secondary fund for end goal fund’s investors, as the fund usually executes the takeover bid at a price lower than the REIT’s nav price, taking advantage of investors’ need to liquidate their investment. Investment opportunities have been created in this market and in order to take advantage of them, the fund needs to raise capital in the relatively short term.
