IBI Lion is a company that was founded in 2021 by IBI Investment House and the LION partnership in order to invest in yielding real estate in Spain. For purposes of tax benefits, the company will register as a Spanish public REIT company in the Spanish secondary stock exchange.
The fund focuses on acquiring long-term income-producing properties in major cities in Spain, in order to create a current return. The company will look for properties inhabited by tenants with high financial strength, focusing on properties with Triple Net leases, a lease under which the tenant pays rent plus all fees. The property will be sold if a relevant purchase offer that reflects a significant return on investment will be made.
