The fund was established by LS Power Equity Advisors LLC, and is a limited partnership registered in Delaware, United States. Founded in 1990, the group employs more than 320 employees across New York, New Jersey, Misouri, Texas and California. The group has been registered at the SEC since 2012. The group engages in development, investment and maintenance of energy and electricity infrastructures in North America.

Strategy:
The fund will invest in electricity and energy infrastructure as well as assets, platforms and companies related to electricity and energy, mainly in North America. The fund will purchase existing companies, assets or platforms, or invest in the initiation and development of a new system or platform. The investments will focus on complex investment opportunities, on quality assets and markets where LS Power believes it has a distinct competitive advantage.
