The fund was established in January 2022 and is registered in the Cayman Islands. The fund is a collaboration between Harel Insurance, a large insurance company in Israel with a vast experience in alternative investments, and Harel Finances Alternative, which manages 6 alternative investment funds (including this new fund) and is responsible for the overall management and daily monitoring of the fund. As the fund makes its investments alongside Harel Insurance, it will be subjected to Harel’s limitations and exposures as well as to the regulation that is relevant to insurance companies and financial institutions.
The fund will join investments made by Harel Insurance in the structure of co-invest. These investments, which meet the fund’s limitations, will be in new loans both in Israel and abroad. The loans will be backed by collateral and speard via various fields. The entire investment strategy, from locating the transactions, underwriting the loans, due diligence to ongoing monitoring and collection, will be carried out by Harel Insurance.
