Fund Overview:
Veritas Capital Fund IX was established by Veritas Capital as a limited partnership registered in Delaware, US. Veritas Capital was established in 1998 and focuses on Private Equity and Debt investments. The main specialization are investing in sectors that are at the intersection of government and technology: sectors that work for the government and sectors supported by government funding, supervised by the state and/or influenced by government legislation and policy. The fundraising target of the fund is 13 billion dollars and the total assets under management (AUM) are about 42 billion dollars.

Strategy:
The fund is a buyout fund, targeting american medium-sized companies. The target companies provide products, services and technologies to government and commercial customers, mainly the USA. These sectors are characterized by rigid demand, the barriers to entry require unique knowledge, in-depth understanding and long-term contracts. Therefore they are characterized by durability to changes in economic cycles. The fund focuses on mature, established companies with an existing product or service, which are experiencing stagnation in their business activity and are unable to increase their profitability. After the acquisitions, the fund’s teams work with the companies in order to improve their core business.
